EU’s Josep Borrell urges Kyrgyzstan to follow Russian sanctions guidelines
The European Union recommends Kyrgyzstan not to violate the terms of sanctions imposed against the Russian Federation.
The country's Foreign Minister Jeenbek Kulubaev made the remarks on August 5, Caliber.Az reports per foreign media.
"During the last visit of the EU foreign affairs representative Josep Borrel to Bishkek, mainly bilateral cooperation issues were discussed. Therefore, the main conversation was about the implementation of the roadmap for co-operation. They (EU authorities) also warned not to violate anti-Russian sanctions, these conversations took place," Kulubayev said at a briefing on Monday.
Borrell's visit to Bishkek was useful because they discussed increasing trade and transit opportunities, he said.
Borrel paid a working visit to Bishkek on August 3.
