EU to deliver 2 million artillery shells to Ukraine by October, Kallas says
The European Union will fully meet its pledge to supply Ukraine with 2 million artillery shells by October, EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas told the European Parliament.
According to Kallas, 80% of the promised ammunition has already been delivered, with the remainder expected in the coming weeks, Caliber.Az reports.
She also recalled that since the start of the full-scale war, Ukraine has received nearly €169 billion in financial support from the EU, of which more than €63 billion was allocated for military purposes.
Kallas outlined three pillars of EU support for Ukraine: strengthening its armed forces, supporting internal security and resilience through the EU Civil Mission, and bolstering the defence industry.
She added that Europe is channelling revenues from frozen Russian assets to finance Ukraine’s defence sector.
