EU to spend another 1.2 billion euros on defence

The European Commission approved the annual work program of the European Defence Fund (EDF), allocating 1.2 billion euros for research and development in defence.

According to Lenta.ru, this is stated in a press release on the website of the European Commission.

Total investments in defence fund will amount to 3 billion euros (since 2021). It is planned that the money will go to strengthen the defence of the European Union, as well as to boost developments in the field of space, counter hypersonic missiles, projects to create a European patrol ship and a number of others.
