Eugeniu Osmochescu appointed Moldova's acting PM

Moldovan Acting Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economic Development and Digitalisation Eugeniu Osmochescu has been appointed acting prime minister following the resignation of Alexandru Munteanu.

Moldovan President Maia Sandu signed the decree appointing Osmochescu to temporarily lead the government, Caliber.Az reports, citing Moldovan media.

In a post on social media, Osmochescu confirmed his appointment and thanked President Sandu for her confidence, as well as his government colleagues for their support.

Munteanu unexpectedly announced his resignation on July 3.
