European Commission: Orban's Moscow visit undermines EU unity
Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban's visit to Moscow undermines EU unity, stated European Commission spokesman Eric Mamer during a briefing in Brussels.
"This action undermines the unity and purposefulness that we must demonstrate," Mamer emphasized, Caliber.Az reports citing Russian media.
Mamer also noted that Orban did not coordinate his visit to Russia with the European Commission.
Prime Minister Orban announced that his trip to Moscow is part of his ongoing peace mission aimed at resolving the conflict in Ukraine.
"The peace mission continues. Second stop: Moscow," Orban wrote, accompanied by a photo from the airport, on his social media platform X (formerly Twitter).
