European Commission urges EU to send Ukraine transformers and power generators

The European Commission has urged the European Union (EU) countries to send Ukraine high-voltage transformers and power generators to rebuild the country's energy system.

This has been announced by the European Commissioner for Energy, Kadri Simson, according to TASS.

According to her, it is necessary to do this on a mass scale. Simson promised that the EC will help deliver aid to specific Ukrainian regions.

For his part, Czech Industry and Trade Minister Josef Sikela said that Ukrainian Energy Minister Herman Haluschenko spoke at the beginning of the informal meeting of EU energy ministers by remote communication. He spoke "about the critical state of the country's energy infrastructure," Sikela said.
