Ex-separatist leader draws parallels between Russian mercenaries and SS Division Totenkopf

The former separatist defence minister of the self-proclaimed "Donetsk People’s Republic" Igor Girkin (Strelkov) on his Telegram channel noted the effectiveness of fighters of the PMC group named ChVK Wagner by comparing them to the 3rd SS Panzer Division Totenkopf.

"ChVK Wagner fights as the SS Division Totenkopf carrying out the task regardless of losses," he wrote, according to Caliber.Az.

"As for the effectiveness of the ChVK Wagner in comparison with the Chechens: Wagner has its own tanks, MLRS, air defence. This is a full-fledged military unit, capable of performing combined arms tasks at a high level," he said.
