Poland scrambles jets amid massive Russian strike on Ukraine
The Polish Armed Forces placed their air defence systems on maximum alert and scrambled fighter jets overnight in response to a large-scale Russian missile and drone attack on neighbouring Ukraine.
According to a statement by Poland’s Operational Command, the country’s military launched an “aviation operation” within its airspace in the early hours of Saturday, citing heightened threat levels near the eastern border, Caliber.Az reports.
