Ukraine reports power disruptions in seven regions after Russian attacks

Russian drone attacks and artillery shelling have caused power disruptions in seven Ukrainian regions, energy company Ukrenergo has said.

The company noted that the blackout impacted Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Vinnytsia, Zhytomyr, Mykolaiv, Chernihiv and Sumy regions, Caliber.Az reports, citing Russian media.

Earlier, the Russian Defence Ministry confirmed that military forces also attacked an oil refinery in Kremenchuk, central Ukraine.

According to the ministry, the refinery was producing fuel for Ukraine’s armed forces.

The ministry further claimed that Russian forces struck the JTI Ukraine tobacco factory in Kremenchuk, where it said small-arms ammunition was being produced, and a metallurgical plant in Kryvyi Rih producing goods for military use, as well as a dry cargo vessel carrying military-related cargo to the port of Odesa.
