Explosion at Toyota's Chuo Spring plant claims one life, injures two
An explosion at Chuo Spring Co's factory in Toyota, a central city in Japan, has tragically resulted in one fatality and left two others injured, authorities confirmed on February 5.
The explosion occurred at the plant, which manufactures auto parts for Toyota Motor, Caliber.Az reports per Japanese media.
Details about the incident suggest that the blast originated from a dust collector within the Fujioka plant. Local fire department officials reported receiving an emergency call stating that "a dust collector exploded" and that the "rooftop was blown off."
Both Toyota Motors and Chuo Spring have acknowledged the explosion, but are still in the process of collecting further details regarding the incident.
This is not the first time the factory has experienced such a blast; a similar explosion took place in 2023, prompting Toyota to partially halt production across several domestic plants.
