Explosion hits military recruitment and social support centre in Ukraine

An explosion occurred overnight on February 18 at the territorial recruitment and social support centre (TCC, the Ukrainian equivalent of military enlistment offices) in Kolomyia, Ivano-Frankivsk region.

The incident was confirmed by Sergeant Natalia Kotskovich of the communications group at the Ivano-Frankivsk TCC, who said that preliminary reports indicate no casualties, Caliber.Az reports per the Ukrainian Telegram channel from Ivano-Frankivsk.

Investigators and explosive ordnance teams are working at the scene.

Ukraine’s Security Service (SSU) and the National Police are examining all circumstances, and a pre-trial investigation is underway under Article 258 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, covering terrorist acts.
