Explosion in Azerbaijan's Ganja leaves fatalities
An explosion rocked a residential building in Ganja, Azerbaijan's second-largest city, resulting in casualties.
Emergency forces from the Ganja Regional Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) of Azerbaijan, along with the State Fire Service, were swiftly dispatched to the scene on Isak Jafarov Street, where the blast occurred in a five-story residential building, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
Initial assessments revealed that the explosion originated in an apartment on the fourth floor, leading to significant structural damage.
Tragically, two individuals lost their lives in the incident.
During the rescue efforts, four survivors were pulled from the debris and were immediately transferred to medical teams for treatment.
An investigation into the cause of the explosion is currently underway.
