Explosion shakes fireworks plant in China VIDEO
An explosion occurred at the Shanzhou fireworks factory in Shanzhou Village, China’s Linli County on June 16 morning.
The blast happened around 8:23 a.m. (GMT+8), prompting an immediate response from local authorities. The Linli County Party committee and government swiftly mobilized, sending officials to the scene to coordinate rescue and recovery operations, Caliber.Az reports via foreign media.
Emergency responders, including firefighters, police officers, and medical teams, are currently on-site managing the situation. A spokesperson from Changde’s emergency bureau said that details regarding casualties are still being confirmed, with investigations ongoing to determine the cause of the explosion.
So far, nine individuals have been rescued with minor injuries and have been hospitalized for treatment. Two people remain missing, and search and rescue efforts are continuing. Shanzhou Fireworks, established in 2017, specializes in the production of chemical raw materials and products, particularly explosives, detonators, and fireworks.
