Explosions heard in Israel after Iranian missile launch toward Jordan VIDEO/PHOTO
Explosions were heard in the Israeli city of Eilat after Iran launched missiles toward Jordan, forcing a passenger plane flying from Tel Aviv to alter its route while airborne following the attack.
The incident comes days after debris from interceptor missiles fell in an open area north of Eilat following another Iranian missile attack on Jordan on July 19, Caliber.Az reports, citing Israeli media.
Earlier, Israel said it does not expect an imminent Iranian missile attack but believes the conflict could escalate rapidly in the coming days.

The Israeli military remains on a high level of alert, though it has not yet reached its maximum state of readiness, according to Ynet, citing a defence source.
According to the source, the July 19 missile strike on Jordan's Aqaba may indicate Iran's attempts to expand the scope of the conflict and could signal a shift toward more direct involvement against Israel.
