Explosions occur in Ukraine's Kyiv, Dnipro, Zaporizhzhia, Lviv regions
An air alert has been sounded across Ukraine, with explosions heard in Kyiv, Dnipro, Zaporizhzhia and Khmelnytskyi region, local newspapers reported. Klitschko asked Kyiv citizens not to leave bomb shelters
Explosions are heard in Kyiv, air defence systems are working, the mayor of the Ukrainian capital Vitaliy Klitschko said in a telegram channel, RBC reports.
He asked the people of Kyiv not to leave the shelter.
Explosions were also heard in Dnipro, Zaporizhzhia, Lviv and Khmelnytskyi region, Suspilna reports. The publication's correspondents reported that a few minutes later, repeated explosions were heard in Dnieper and Zaporizhzhia.
The air raid alert is on throughout Ukraine.
The Russian Ministry of Defence has repeatedly emphasized that attacks are carried out only on the military and energy facilities of Ukraine and related infrastructure.
On the night of February 15, an oil depot caught fire in the Kursk region, this happened after a drone attack. “According to preliminary information, there are no casualties. All special services are currently working on the spot. I ask you to remain calm,” wrote Governor Roman Starovoyt. According to Baza, a 100-ton tank is on fire.
