Explosive drones seized in Iraq’s Babil province

Security forces in Iraq have discovered and confiscated explosive-laden drones in Babil province that were reportedly prepared for targeting the Diplomatic Support Centre at Baghdad International Airport, according to a security source cited by Shafaq News.

The drones were located in the Al-Jilawiyeen area, near the Technical Institute in Babil province. Authorities believe they were ready for launch at the time they were found.

No arrests have been made so far in connection with the incident, and investigations are ongoing.
