Factory fire in Poland forces hospital evacuation VIDEO

A fire broke out at an industrial facility in the Polish city of Włocławek, prompting the evacuation of a nearby hospital as emergency services worked to contain the blaze.

Authorities said the fire started in one of the factory’s workshops and quickly spread due to the presence of chemical materials stored on site. These included approximately five metric tons of epoxy resin with hardener and around 800 kilograms of solvents, which contributed to the rapid expansion of the fire and the formation of thick black smoke visible from a distance, Caliber.Az reports via Polish media. 

As a precaution, a nearby hospital was evacuated, including 30 patients and 32 staff members, due to the risk of the fire spreading to surrounding areas.

Polish fire services deployed 22 fire crews, involving more than 100 firefighters, to the scene to combat the blaze and secure the site.
