False alarm triggers emergency response on Ankara–Baku flight
On September 22, the captain of an Ajet airline aircraft operating a scheduled flight from Ankara to Baku reported an onboard alarm signal to the relevant services at Heydar Aliyev International Airport.
According to the airport’s press service, the aircraft landed safely at Baku Airport at 15:55 local time, Caliber.Az reports.
In line with international aviation security protocols, emergency procedures were promptly initiated. Following a thorough inspection, it was confirmed that the alarm signal was false and that no threat was present.
"The safety of passengers and crew members is always a priority," the statement emphasized.
The airport authorities also confirmed that the incident had no impact on operations at Heydar Aliyev International Airport. All flights continue to operate according to the published schedule.
