Families of fallen Azerbaijani border guards receive state orders PHOTO
Families of Azerbaijani border guards who died while serving to restore the country’s territorial integrity and sovereignty have received state decorations awarded posthumously to their loved ones.
The awards were presented at a ceremony held at the headquarters of Azerbaijan’s State Border Guard Service to mark the 107th anniversary of the service, Caliber.Az reports.
State Border Guard Service chief Colonel-General Elchin Guliyev presented the families with the Order “For Service to the Fatherland,” Third Class, conferred on the fallen servicemen by decree of President Ilham Aliyev.
The families expressed gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev and First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva for the attention and support shown to them.
