Famous actor Orlando Bloom meets with Zelenskyy in Kyiv
Famous actor Orlando Bloom, UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador, met with President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy in the capital Kyiv, within the framework of his visit to Ukraine.
British actor Orlando Bloom, who is remembered for his Lord of the Rings and Pirates of the Caribbean series, came to Ukraine, TRT Haber reports.
Bloom, UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador, met with President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelenskyy in the capital Kyiv. Stating that he came to Ukraine for the first time in 2016, Bloom discussed humanitarian aid projects and support activities for children with Zelenskiy.
Stating that Zelenskyy's attitude from the beginning of the war to the present has reflected on the Ukrainian people as courage and determination, Bloom said, "The power of the Ukrainian people is truly admirable. Of course, the reason for all this is your attitude."
Famous actress Bloom read Zelenskyy a letter written by Japanese philosopher Daisaku Ikeda. "Your victory will be the victory of humanity," said Bloom. "Defeat will be the defeat of hope. You have to win everything. You must fight with your indomitable spirit."
Ukrainian President Zelenskyy thanked Bloom for his visit.
Zelenskyy said that after the allegations that Ukrainian children were illegally smuggled into Russia during the Russia-Ukraine War, they did everything to find the missing children. "The war took away the childhood of Ukrainian children. Thousands of schools in Ukraine were either damaged or completely destroyed. 2.7 million Ukrainian students were forced to distance or hybrid education. Again, 1.5 million children faced depression, stress, and psychological problems," he said.
