Fans disappoint with McDonald's response to "all-day breakfast" news
McDonald's has responded to the rumour that it will be serving all-day breakfast from next month.
The worst part of a hangover is, easily, missing the cut-off time for a Maccies breakfast, the Lad Bible reports.
So, as you can imagine, people were jumping for joy when they heard a rumour that the chain would start selling breakfast all day, from 6 October.
However, McDonald's cut the mass joy in half with a response: "Sorry guys, file this one under fake news."
The post about the day-long breakfast feast at McDonald's restaurant started circulating on Twitter on September 2, with big brands like Pretty Little Thing sharing the news.
The fast-fashion company wrote that McDonald’s has announced they are serving breakfast "all day from October 6."
It then shared a post along with the title: "Let There Be Breakfast: McDonald's Serving All Day Breakfast Starting Oct. 6."
"Mark your calendars. McDonald's is making breakfast history again by offering All Day Breakfast nationwide starting October 6, allowing customers to enjoy some of their breakfast favourites outside of traditional breakfast hours," the post told fans of the fast-food franchise:
Naturally, people have gone crazy with the post going on to add: "It's time for breakfast on your terms. 10:30 am will no longer be the end of breakfast. Lunch, snack, dinner, late night - it's time for Hotcakes at whenever o'clock. The new limited menu will allow customers to enjoy a breakfast sandwich paired with an order of World Famous Fries after 10:30 am."
