FBI reports new arrests in White House assassination plot case

The FBI has arrested two additional men in Washington and Missouri in connection with an alleged plot to attack government officials at a UFC Freedom 250 event at the White House, the US Department of Justice has stated.

It said the suspects have been charged with conspiracy to commit murder, Caliber.Az reports.

According to investigative details, one of the accused allegedly conspired with others to acquire and use drones fitted with explosives.

The second suspect is alleged to have possessed weapons and agreed to manufacture drone components intended for use in the plot.

The arrests are part of an ongoing federal investigation into the planned attack targeting government officials during the event.
