Federal agents begin mass arrests of undocumented migrants in Chicago

A large number of U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers have arrived in Chicago, and mass arrests of undocumented migrants have begun in the city, ABC 7 reported.

According to available information, armed federal agents are operating in downtown Chicago and have started conducting widespread detentions of undocumented individuals.

Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker condemned the actions of law enforcement, saying they are intimidating the public and harming local businesses.

Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson described the situation as fear-mongering and the militarisation of the city, urging residents to remember their rights guaranteed under the U.S. Constitution.
