Fiery bus crash in India leaves nine burned alive, dozens injured

In India, at least nine people died, and dozens were injured when the bus was engulfed in flames upon impact, with most victims burned alive inside the vehicle, a senior police official said.

The bus was carrying 32 passengers en route to Gokarna, Caliber.Az reports via foreign media.

According to the police, the accident happened when a truck jumped a road divider and collided with the oncoming bus, which then caught fire.

Many passengers were asleep at the time and could not escape, while some managed to flee by jumping from the bus.

Authorities have launched an investigation into the tragedy.
