Fight erupts at Baku construction company involving businessman

A fight broke out on February 8 at a construction company in the Narimanov district of Baku between Yilmaz Okuklu, head of Okuklu Holding, and a group of individuals.

Okuklu was broadcasting live on social media during the incident, claiming that several people surrounded and attacked him. Authorities suggest the conflict may have arisen from a business dispute, Caliber.Az reports via local media.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) confirmed that an investigation is underway. “On the morning of February 8, the police received information about an incident involving representatives of a construction company and several residents in the Narimanov district. Officers who arrived on the scene intervened and stopped the altercation. The investigation is ongoing,” the MIA said.
