Financial Times: Minab school strike likely carried out by US, not Iran

Open-source evidence challenges US President Donald Trump’s claim that Iranian forces carried out the strike on a school in Minab, the Financial Times investigation reports.

According to the newspaper, analysis of video footage, satellite imagery, and munition debris indicates a high likelihood that a US Tomahawk cruise missile was used.

Experts noted that the shape of the wreckage and its fins match this type of weapon.

On February 28, Iranian authorities reported an airstrike on a girls’ primary school in southern Iran, killing 175 people—mostly students, along with parents and teachers—and injuring another 95. 

Trump blamed Iranian forces for the attack, but no evidence supported his claim. Later, debris recovered at the site was found to carry markings of American munitions.
