Finland prepared to down Ukrainian drones, defence minister warns

Finnish Defence Minister Antti Häkkänen has said that Finland must always be prepared to intercept drones that accidentally enter its airspace.

He noted that Russian strategic facilities are located near Finland’s border, making it impossible to rule out the possibility of Ukrainian drones entering Finnish airspace, Caliber.Az reports via Finnish media.

“We are primarily preparing for a situation in which, for some reason, one of the drones from a swarm launched from Ukraine goes off course. Such drones, if they enter our airspace, should be capable of being safely neutralised through the use of military force,” Häkkänen added.
