Finnish president approves 14th military aid package destined for Ukraine
Finnish President Sauli Niinistö has approved the 14th military aid package for Ukraine, which will include Leopard 2 tanks.
The Finnish Defence Ministry announced on March 23 that replacing the protective equipment with those included in the supply will cost Helsinki 161 million euros, and the recoverable cost of all aid packages to Ukraine at the moment is about 910 million euros, reports Gazeta.Ru.
The statement of the ministry emphasizes that Finland will transfer three Leopard 2 mine-clearing tanks to Kyiv, as well as training of Ukrainian specialists, which is related to the use and maintenance of heavy equipment.
“From the point of view of the defence struggle of Ukraine, any material assistance is vital. We will continue to strongly support Ukraine in order to counter Russia's brutal attack," Finnish Defense Minister Antti Kaikkonen said.
