Finnish teen targets female students in pre-planned school stabbing VIDEO

A violent stabbing at Vähäjärvi School in Finnish Pirkkala, near the city of Tampere, left three female students injured, prompting a swift police response and raising fresh concerns about school safety in Finland.

According to Finnish authorities, the suspect — a 16-year-old male student enrolled at the school — has been apprehended, Caliber.Az reports citing foreign media.

The victims, all girls, sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries. Police confirmed the injuries were inflicted with a sharp weapon. One girl was stabbed in the neck, while another suffered wounds to the arm and waist.

The Vähäjärvi school accommodates approximately 1,250 students, ranging from preschool to ninth grade. Emergency services responded in force, with eyewitnesses describing the arrival of six ambulances and at least seven police vehicles.

A disturbing video of the attack, showing a figure dressed in dark clothing assaulting students, quickly spread across social media platforms. Authorities have not commented on the authenticity or implications of the footage but have urged the public to refrain from sharing it further.

In a separate development, local media reported the existence of a manifesto allegedly authored by the suspect, detailing his motives. However, the outlet stated it has not yet been able to authenticate the document, and police have not publicly confirmed its contents or origin.

The teenager also claimed in the letter that the attack had been premeditated, with planning underway for approximately six months.

This incident adds to a growing list of school-related violence in Finland, a country known for its robust education system but one that has seen several similar attacks in recent years. Authorities are continuing their investigation and have not disclosed any further details about the suspect or his background at this stage.

Law enforcement officials are expected to release additional information following a formal interrogation of the suspect. Meanwhile, school officials are working with local authorities to provide psychological support to affected students and staff.
