Fire breaks out after explosion in Ukraine's Odesa VIDEO

An explosion has been reported in the southern Ukrainian city of Odesa, triggering a large fire, local media say.

According to the outlet Politika Strany, journalists shared images showing a thick column of black smoke rising into the sky. The exact location and cause of the blast have not yet been confirmed.

Reports say an air raid alert was in effect across the region at the time of the explosion, suggesting the incident may be linked to the ongoing military situation.
