Fires break out after overnight strike in Ukraine's Sumy region photo / video
Russian forces carried out another overnight strike on Ukraine’s Sumy region, targeting both the regional centre of Sumy and the Shostka community, according to the State Emergency Service.
Emergency officials reported that in Sumy city, a non-residential building caught fire as a result of the attack, while several passenger vehicles were also damaged. Rescue teams arrived at the scene, assessed the situation, and extinguished the blaze.
“In the regional centre, a non-residential building caught fire. Passenger cars were damaged. Rescuers inspected the area and extinguished the fire. In the Shostka community, a non-residential building also caught fire as a result of a strike. The blast wave damaged windows in multi-apartment residential buildings. Rescuers extinguished all fire outbreaks. There were no casualties,” the statement said.
