First tranche to Kyiv under Ukraine Facility program to arrive in March European Commission head says
President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen has said that the first tranche of the Ukraine Facility program worth 50 billion euros will arrive in Ukraine in March.
The EU will continue to support its future member, Caliber.Az quotes von der Leyen as saying in a post on X.
According to the head of the European Commission, the political agreement on the program, concluded on the evening of February 5, “is a major step forward”.
“Europe is true to its word,” she said, noting that the EU will continue to provide much-needed and predictable funding to “our brave partner and aspiring member.”
“We aim to start payments in March,” she added.
To recap, on February 1, during the summit, the leaders of the European Union approved the allocation of 50 billion euros for Ukraine under the Ukraine Facility program for 2024-2027.
