Five killed, 11 injured in Russian attacks on Sumy region PHOTO
Russian attacks across Ukraine’s Sumy region over the past 24 hours have killed five people and wounded at least 11 others, according to the National Police.
Police said settlements in the Sumy, Shostka, Okhtyrka, and Konotop districts came under Russian fire, with officers continuing to document the aftermath of the attacks.
In the Sumy community, two women and one man were killed in the strikes. Eight other people were injured in the same attacks.
Another civilian was killed in the Novoslobodska community after a residential building came under shelling.
In the Velyka Pysarivka community, a man died after detonating a Russian mine.
Police also reported that three more people were injured in other communities across the region.
