Five killed as deadly blaze tears through residential building in China

Five people were killed, and one person was injured in a fire that broke out Monday morning, July 6, in a residential building in Zhengzhou, the capital of China's Henan Province.

According to local fire and rescue authorities, the blaze started at 7:51 a.m. local time (03:51 Baku time). The fire has since been fully extinguished, Xinhua reports.

The injured person was taken to the hospital and is reported to be in stable condition.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the fire and the circumstances surrounding the incident.
