24 February 2023 13:25

The work on the operations carried out by the Agency for Mine Action of the Republic of Azerbaijan (ANAMA), increasing the material and technical base and capacity for the restoration of the territories liberated from the occupation and ensuring the safe return of the former IDPs continues.

ANAMA told Caliber.Az that five more mine-detection dogs of the Malinois breed were handed over to the agency in accordance with the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the Marshall Legacy Institute (MLI) and ANAMA.

The mine-detection dogs, specially trained, will be involved in demining operations in Karabakh after being trained and accredited in accordance with International Mine Action Standards (IMAS).

It is noted that the phased importation of mine-detection dogs into the country is being carried out free of charge by Silk Way West Airlines.
