Flash fire at Uzbekistan gas station quickly contained
A flash fire broke out at a gas station in Uzbekistan’s Oktom neighbourhood on the morning of April 7, prompting a rapid emergency response.
The country’s 112 emergency system received a call at 8:24 a.m. local time indicating that the fire started while propane gas was being transferred from a specialised KAMAZ truck, Caliber.Az reports per Uzbek media.
Emergency crews arrived at the scene within 15 minutes, reaching the site at 8:39 a.m., and successfully contained the fire just three minutes later, at 8:42 a.m.
Preliminary findings suggest the incident may have resulted from a breach of safety procedures during the fuel transfer process. Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the exact cause and assess any potential damage or injuries.
