Flight restrictions continue over Bahrain and Kuwait
Airspace over Bahrain and Kuwait has remained closed to most flights for 29 consecutive days, with restrictions still in place amid the ongoing military operation involving the United States and Israel against Iran.
According to TASS, which cited a source in regional air traffic control services, the suspension of flights has not been lifted since it was first imposed on February 28.
The source said the current restrictions have been extended for at least another 12 hours, until 16:00 UTC. The measures continue to apply not only to domestic operations but also to transit flights crossing the airspace of both countries.
Despite the broad restrictions, Bahrain has allowed limited departures under special permits from Manama airport, with flights authorised to take the shortest route toward Saudi Arabia.
