Floor collapse in apartment building injures residents in Azerbaijan's Goranboy Many evacuated
A floor on the first level of a five-story residential building collapsed in Azerbaijan's Gornaboy District, injuring several residents, and prompting the evacuation of dozens of families, per Oxu.az.
All injured individuals were hospitalised and are receiving treatment at the Central District Hospital.
Emergency services quickly responded to the scene. Seymur Nazarov, Chairman of the Emergency Commission of the Goranboy District Executive Authority, confirmed that all necessary safety measures were immediately implemented following the incident.
Magerram Guliyev, head of the district executive authority, said that 60 families were evacuated from the building and temporarily accommodated in a safe location.
Authorities have launched an investigation into the cause of the collapse.
