FlyDubai flight makes emergency landing in Karachi with Israeli passengers
11 July 2024 14:00
A FlyDubai flight traveling from Dubai (UAE) to Colombo (Sri Lanka) was diverted to Karachi International Airport for an emergency landing following a severe deterioration in a passenger's health.
Pakistani Civil Aviation Authority medics boarded the aircraft upon landing and reported that a 57-year-old Sri Lankan national had passed away due to a cardiac arrest, Caliber.Az reports citing Israeli media.
The plane remained in Karachi for two hours before continuing its journey with the deceased passenger on board.
The flight included Israeli passengers, despite Pakistan being classified as a restricted country by the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which prohibits Israelis from entering or staying in Pakistan, even for transit purposes.
