FM: Israel has no intention of resuming war in Gaza

Israel has no plans to restart military operations in the Gaza Strip, but part of any agreement is expected to include the disarmament of Hamas, the country’s Foreign Minister, Gideon Saar, said.

In an interview with Fox News, Saar stated: “We have no intention of resuming the war, but part of the obligations includes, for example, disarming Hamas and ensuring they lay down their weapons.”

He added that a ceasefire would come into effect immediately after the government approves the deal, and that Hamas would have 72 hours to release all hostages.

“I believe this can and should bring an end to this war,” the minister concluded.
