FM: Kyiv hopes Bulgaria will maintain good-neighbourly ties
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha has stated that his country hopes Bulgaria will maintain a consistent position in supporting Kyiv across a range of issues, from territorial integrity to European Union membership.
At a briefing with journalists, he said they want to proceed on the assumption that good-neighbourelly relations will be preserved, Caliber.Az reports, citing Ukrainian media.
According to the FM, Kyiv hopes Bulgaria’s position will remain steady in supporting Ukraine on many tracks—from territorial integrity to our membership in the European Union.
As previously reported, the Progressive Bulgaria coalition under former president Rumen Radev’s leadership won parliamentary elections.
Radev is claimed to have shown an affinity toward Moscow.
