Foreign airline flight makes emergency landing in Baku
26 January 2026 13:06
Flight UTA-743 operated by UTair from Moscow to Ganja was diverted to Heydar Aliyev International Airport in Baku due to adverse weather conditions at the destination, officials said.
The Boeing 737 made a safe landing at 11:05 local time, the airport press service told Caliber.Az. Fog at Ganja airport prompted the crew to choose the alternate airport to ensure passenger safety.
“All necessary operational procedures were carried out promptly, and the safety of passengers and the flight was prioritised,” the statement said.
UTair will decide on the continuation of the flight to Ganja based on weather conditions.
