Former Israeli PM calls Netanyahu’s Iran policy “historic political disaster”
Yair Lapid, former Prime Minister of Israel, has sharply criticised the policies of current Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu following the US-Iran ceasefire agreement.

Writing on social media platform X, Lapid described Netanyahu’s handling of the situation as an unprecedented political catastrophe. “In all our history, there has never been such a political disaster. Israel was not even at the table when decisions were made regarding the core of our national security,” he said.
Lapid added that while the military fulfilled all its obligations and the public showed remarkable resilience, Netanyahu suffered both political and strategic failures, achieving none of the goals he had set. “It will take years to repair the political and strategic damage caused by Netanyahu’s arrogance, negligence, and lack of strategic planning,” he concluded.
