Former NATO chief urges Israel to show restraint over Iranian attack

Former NATO Secretary General George Robertson has expressed hope that Israel will "show restraint" in its response to an attack by Iran, TASS reports.

"What happens next depends on how Israel reacts. Like the rest of the world, I also hope they will be restrained in their actions," he told the Austrian Press Agency.

However, Robertson does not believe the attack will be a "turning point" in the conflict in the Middle East.

"It is clear that Iran planned its attack so that Israel could contain it," he said.
