Former Trump estate in Connecticut to be demolished
A former residence of US President Donald Trump in the state of Connecticut is set to be demolished in a redevelopment project.
According to Page Six, the mansion is located in the town of Greenwich and is currently owned by a private individual whose identity has not been disclosed. The new owner is planning a major redevelopment of the property.
The report says the Greenwich estate, which Trump once shared with his ex-wife Ivana Trump, will be bulldozed. In its place, plans include tennis courts, an outdoor swimming pool, several auxiliary buildings, and a new main residence. The design for the new house has been commissioned from Robert A. M. Stern Architects, which previously worked on the George W. Bush Presidential Center in Dallas.
The property was awarded to Ivana Trump after the couple’s divorce in 1992. Following her death, the estate changed ownership again in 2024, reportedly selling for $31.5 million.
