Forthcoming Samsung Galaxy S23 price revealed

The new flagship smartphones Samsung Galaxy S23, S23 Plus and S23 Ultra will be sold in the US at prices ranging from $800 to $1,500.

According to PhoneArena reports, citing a source of RGCloudS, the base model Galaxy S23 will be sold in 8/128GB and 8/256GB versions for $799 and $849 respectively. The Galaxy S23 Plus version in the same combinations will get price tags of $999 and $1,049.

The top-of-the-line Galaxy S23 Ultra model will get three modifications: 8/256GB, 12/512GB and 12/1024GB. Their prices will be distributed as follows: $1,249, $1,349 and $1,499 respectively.

PhoneArena noted that rumours of price hikes for Samsung's new flagship lineup due to underperforming sales of the Galaxy S22 series and inflation have only partly come true. The Galaxy S23 and S23 Plus models have kept their price tags the same, but the cost of the simplest version of the Galaxy S23 Ultra has increased by $50.

In addition, the increase in the price tag of the older model seems justified because in the Galaxy S22 series, the Ultra version started with an 8/128GB model, while the Galaxy S23 Ultra range starts at 8/256GB.

The Galaxy S23 series smartphones will be unveiled on February 1, 2023 in the US.
