Four flights from Russia to Uzbekistan diverted to Samarkand due to fog
Four passenger aircraft traveling from Russia to Uzbekistan made emergency landings at Samarkand International Airport due to dense fog at airports in Bukhara, Urgench, and Termez, Uzbekistan Airports said in a statement on Telegram.
“Due to adverse weather conditions at several airports in Uzbekistan, Samarkand International Airport received multiple flights as an alternate airport,” Caliber.Az cites the statement,
The diverted flights included HY9608 and SU1876 operating on the Moscow–Bukhara route, HY9638 from St. Petersburg to Urgench, and A47055 from Moscow to Termez.
In addition, flight C6317 from Istanbul to Namangan also landed in Samarkand after the crew decided to divert due to a passenger’s deteriorating health, the statement added.
