Four miners killed in gas explosion at Pakistan coal mine

Four miners have been killed and five others injured in a gas explosion at a coal mine in Pakistan’s southwestern Balochistan province, according to official sources.

The explosion occurred on September 13 in Harnai district following a buildup of gas inside the mine, the sources told Xinhua.

Rescue teams from the Pakistan Army were deployed to the site after the blast. They recovered the bodies of the four miners and rescued five injured workers.

The injured miners were taken to the provincial capital, Quetta, for further medical treatment, according to the sources.
