Russian drones attack passenger train in Kyiv region PHOTO/UPDATED
Russian drones attacked the “Sumy–Kyiv” passenger train, Ukrainian police said.
Authorities said the threat was detected in time, allowing passengers to be evacuated to a safe distance. No injuries were reported.
The damaged locomotive caught fire, and firefighting crews were deployed to the scene, according to police.

A four-year-old child was among three people killed in a Russian attack on Ukraine’s Kyiv region, Ukrainian authorities said.
The attack sparked fires at a warehouse on the grounds of an industrial facility and at a private two-story residential house, according to Ukraine’s State Emergency Service, Caliber.Az reports per Ukraine's State Emergency Service.
“In the Brovary district, in the village of Pukhovka, a fire broke out in a two-story private residential house as a result of the attack. The fire destroyed the house, two gazebos, and two passenger cars. Unfortunately, three people were killed, including a child born in 2022. Three others were injured,” the service said.
The Kyiv City Military Administration later said the number of injured had risen to four.
In Kyiv’s Obolon district, fuel tanks also caught fire as a result of the attack, the administration added.
