France calls for holding UN Security Council meeting on Garabagh

The French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs has called for holding an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council on the situation in Garabagh.

The ministry also appealed to the Azerbaijani authorities to immediately stop “combat operations in Garabagh and comply with international law” (local anti-terrorist measures in the Garabagh region are carried out within the international law), Kommersant reports.

“France calls for holding an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council. It is holding consultations with its European partners and the US for a response that is consistent with the regional security risks posed by the unacceptable offensive [anti-terrorist measures] of Azerbaijan to be given,” the ministry said.
